ERG attending and presenting at the 2021 Western Colorado Water & Wastewater Conference
ERG is proud to be attending this 14th Annual event, presented by the American Water Works Association (AWWA). Mala Hettiarachchi & Tim Sikma, both subject matter experts, will be presenting on the challenges and lessons learned during the PFAS-PFOS removal process.
ERG has expert project experience in wastewater treatment and is thrilled to connect with colleagues, wastewater treatment plan operators, manager, suppliers and consultants in the Colorado area. ERG hopes to share some real world case studies to help increase industry knowledge in wastewater treatment technologies and related issues.
ERG recently established a presence in Grand Junction, CO with John Rabideau at the helm. John will arrange meetings with operators or managers of wastewater treatment plants who would like follow up information on anything they heard in the presentation.
Presentation time: October 6, 2:30pm
Location: Track 2, Kannah
Topic: PFAS Removal from Contaminated Wastewater Sludge: Case Study
Challenges and lessons learned during the PFAS-PFOS removal process.
ERG provided consulting services for the City of Wixom Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to remove per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from approximately 1.0 million gallons wastewater sludge impacted above 15,000 ng/l of PFOS.
Anyone attending the talk, scheduled for 2:30pm on Wednesday, October 6, will learn about the products containing PFAS and releases into the environment, the process of removing total suspended solids using dissolved air floatation and removing PFOS and PFS using granulated activated carbon and ion exchange.
If you have further questions, come see us to receive additional information and discuss specific issues your plant may be experiencing. Learn more about Mala Hettiarachchi and her experience.
