Phil is a Senior Project Manager for ERG, and manages ERG’s Lansing IHS office. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1986 with a degree in Geology and is an Industrial Hygienist. Phil has managed over 1,000 projects from small to large and has personally worked on hundreds of remediation sites over his 30 plus year career.
Phil specializes in evaluating conditions in the built environment, whether that be a workplace exposure, asbestos, lead paint, potentially hazardous materials or PCBs, to name just a few. Phil maintains accreditations as an Asbestos Building Inspector, Asbestos Project Designer and Management Planner. Phil is also a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
Phil is also responsible for the Polarized Light Microscopy lab, at the ERG Lansing office, which analyzes building materials for the presence of asbestos and maintains NVLAP accreditation.
In his spare time, Phil volunteers with the Michigan Bluebird Society. Phil is happily married and a proud father and grandfather.
